Propeller is a main propelling machinery for a ship which is exposed to not only sea water corrosion and fouling environment but also severe erosion corrosion, cavitation corrosion, corrosion fatigue. That will decrease the propelling efficiency causing remarkably negative influence on expected service life of propeller.Nickel aluminum bronze is widely used as a main structure material for propeller and its comprehensive performance has decisive impact on ship's development. The propeller of large ship and high speed ship is made of cast nickel aluminum bronze. But its coarse and non-uniform microstructure with voids from fabrication has disadvantage impact on its mechanical property and anticorrosion property. To address above questions,it is systematic investigated on evolvement rule of nickel aluminum bronze structure during the thermal processing and its impact mechanism on anti-erosion corrosion property. It reveals corrosion mechanism of nickel aluminum bronze and interaction mechanism of damage mechanics and electrochemistry. It states surface modification methods of Ni?Ni/Cr pulse electrodeposition layer's improvements on anticorrosion property of nickel aluminum bronze.
