Based on magnetorheological effect,magnetorheological damper has many advantages,such as fast response,low power consumption,wide control range and simple structure.It has wide application prospects in civil engineering,infrastructure,building seismic,vehicle engineering and other fields.Because of the complexity of internal operation of magnetorheological dampers,there are still some problems in the design of MR dampers,such as the distortion of indicator characteristics and the difficulty of dynamic response evaluation.It is of great significance to monitor the internal working status of MR dampers.The operation parameters monitoring of the MR damper includes displacement,damping force,excitation current and cavity pressure,and dynamic response parameters derived from monitoring data.The operation parameters monitoring of the MR damper is of great value for exploring the internal working state of the damper and exploring the basic law of the controllable damping.It has a guiding role in the design optimization of the damper.Based on the need of the operation parameters monitoring of the MR damper,this paper implements monitoring methods such as state tracking mode,dynamic response mode and state monitoring mode.The details are as follows:(1)The basic characteristics of MR fluid and engineering application cases of MR damper are introduced.And the operation parameters of the magnetorheological damper are introduced.The research status of damper operation parameters is reviewed.The research significance and content of this paper are put forward.(2)Using the Bingham fluid constitutive equation,the calculation formula of the damping force of the MR damper is derived in the flow mode and the shear mode.The error range of dynamic response of MR damper under sine wave displacement excitation and the influencing factors of dynamic response are analyzed.Theoretical analysis of the design of the MR damper compensation cavity.And the necessity of monitoring the pressure in the cavity is proposed.(3)A test platform for operation parameter monitoring was built.Two different trigger circuits,state tracking trigger and dynamic response trigger,are implemented.The excitation current fast response circuit is designed to reduce the influence of the coil inductance on the dynamic response.The monitoring software is developed based on VB,which realizes the functions of data collection,storage,filtering and display.(4)The effects of compensation pressure,excitation speed and excitation current on the operating state,dynamic response characteristics and cavity pressure of MR damper are studied.The influence of long-term static displacement of MR fluid on dynamic response is analyzed.
