Due to the big traffic flow and complex traffic environment of urban's intersections,the optimization of traffic signal control plays an important role in improving the efficiency of intersection running.This paper took the traffic signal light of cross intersections as research object,studied on signal optimization control method based on queue length of vehicle.In this paper,on-line detection of vehicle queue length based on image processing was realized,signal lights control parameters model was established,the optimal control strategy for signal lights was put forward and the scheme of real-time dynamic time of signal light was designed.The simulation results showed that the travel time,delay time and stopping frequency of vehicle were reduced,the intersection of road running efficiency was improved,and realize the intelligent control for intersection signal lights.This paper has completed the following research work:Based on the real-time monitoring video information,the detection method of moving vehicles and the establishment of vehicle queuing model,the longitudinal pixel distance detection of vehicle queuing is realized.The camera calibration method based on the vanishing point principle is studied,and the detection error model is established.The test results show that the proposed method can accurately measure the vehicle queue length of intersection within the allowable error range.Based on the basic principle and method of signal control,the phase design scheme and green extension strategy are determined.The parameter constraint model of traffic signal control and the evaluation index system of traffic performance are established,and the design method of traffic signal control system is proposed.Studied on the application and realization of fuzzy control in the direction of signal control.Based on the analysis of traffic signal control system at single intersection,put forward a method of signal fuzzy control based on multi-traffic parameters of vehicle queue length and average vehicle speed.The fuzzy subset and membership function of control variables are designed and the table of fuzzy control rules was established.A method of output precision of normalized proportional coefficient was proposed.Aiming at the discontinuity of parameter measurement,proposed an improved vehicle queue length detection model based on the dynamic distribution of vehicle queue formation and dispersion process.Based on MATLAB and VISSIM simulation platform,the traffic intersection signal control simulation environment is built.The control strategy experiment of fixed timing signal light and the fuzzy control experiment based on vehicle queue length are designed respectively,the advantages of the proposed control strategy are verified.The simulation results show that the optimized timing strategy of signal lights by fuzzy control can effectively improve the vehicle traffic efficiency for urban intersections,reduce the average delay time and travel time of vehicles,improve the operation efficiency of urban intersections and alleviate the traffic congestion of urban roads.
