Research On The Selection Of EPC Project General Contractor Based On Trust

Undoubtedly,in recent years,the project general contracting model is very hot in China.At the end of the 20 th century,the general contracting model of engineering emerged in foreign developed countries and was gradually widely used.However,the general contracting model of engineering emerged relatively late in China,with incomplete market development,incomplete industry norms and no relatively mature operation and management system.In addition,the selection of contractors in China's construction market is mainly dominated by the price factor,and the phenomenon of "borrowing CARDS to hang on","bidding round and string bidding" and "fishing project" is very common,which makes it difficult for owners to select contractors to meet the needs of the project,and there is a widespread problem of adverse selection.The root cause lies in the general lack of trust in Chinese society,especially in the construction market.The two parties lack of trust in the environment,the initial trust is difficult to form,the owners will often be caught in the dilemma of trust.Therefore,how to choose the right trusted contractor has become the key factor for the success of the project.However,few scholars have studied the selection of the general contractor from the perspective of trust.This paper proposes to study the selection of the contractor of the general contracting project from the perspective of trust as follows:First,research on the formation and development of trust in general contracting projects.Firstly,the generation,types and level division of trust in general contracting projects are summarized.Then the antecedents,initial trust,trust transmission and trust maintenance of the trust between the project owner and the contractor are analyzed and studied.Finally,the trust evolution model between the owner and the general contractor is constructed based on the CAS theory.Second,research on the prequalification of general contracting projects based on trust.Firstly,the paper analyzes the current situation of the selection mechanism and the research status of the general contractor through literature review.Then,by means of text analysis,literature check and other methods,this paper analyzes the influencing factors of the initial trust between the owner and the general contractor,the research status,the initial trust dimension between the owner and the general contractor,and the prequalification factors of the general contracting project,and matches the initial trust dimension with the prequalification index.Finally,on the basis of the above research,the weight of the trust prequalification index of the general contracting project is determined by using AHP method,and the setting and application of the trust based prequalification index of the general contracting project is given by taking the subway project as an example.Thirdly,from the perspective of trust maintenance,the following selection strategies for the general contractor are given according to the aforementioned trust evolution rules: expanding information communication channels and improving the effectiveness of trust transmission;Build Partnering project management pattern,consolidate the basis of trust and maintain;Establish incentive and restraint mechanism with both reward and punishment measures to ensure trust and stability;"Ensnare" the contractor and eliminate opportunistic behavior.In conclusion,this article is based on trust related theory,using literature review,the text analysis,the CAS theory and AHP method,through the analysis of engineering general contracting project owner and the contractor directly the generation and evolution of the trust,the trust dimension matching with prequalification index,the prime contractor selection strategy based on trust to maintain project,established a set of application to adapt to China's situation of the engineering general contracting project type trust contractor selection system,the prime contractor for owner in project selection provides the theoretical support and practical guidance.
