Construction industrialization is currently the mainstream trend in this business in China. While assembled steel structure being one of its representative,it has advantages such as green, environmental protection as well as energy efficiency. And more, whether the field assembly construction can be carried out,is directly determined by the connection joints of each components. To solve the problems of assembly connection of square steel column and H-shaped steel beam in assembled steel structure, this paper, based on the existing assembly connections at home and broad, has designed a new frame beam-column-column joints with variable beam depth, and further studied its mechanical properties. This paper has completed the following work:First,in order to solve the problems of assembly connection of square steel column and H-shaped steel beam in assembled steel structure,a new integrated frame of column-beam joints with variable beam depth is proposed, whose components are all obtainable to prefabricate, which make it possible for the parts assembled on site. This has greatly shortened construction period, and reduced cost.Meanwhile, the detailed structural measures as well as a feasible construction plan of the new joints is also given.Second, including firstly modeling with the finite element software ANSYS of new-frame joints is completed in detail. To have the simulations converged to fixed points, single adjustments of static loading to test on beam-column-column joints,on beam-column fringe are carried out step by step. This experiment contributed great to accomplish the exploration of ultimate loading limit states, stiffness characteristic, and damage modes, worked out moment rotation curve for joints under different loading test scheme;and moreover, comparison of mechanical performance differences between new-type prefabricated joints and the traditional welding joints with single static loading modulation are completed.Third,on the basis of static finite element modeling result, the experimental phenomena and damage modes of the joints during the reciprocating loading were analyzed in detail.Performance index including the joint hysteretic performance curve, the skeleton curve, ductility factor, energy dissipation factor, the stiffness degradation curve and so on were obtained. Then the seismic energy dissipation performance of the joints was evaluated.Fourth,by changing geometric parameters such as joints flange, cover thickness, bolt types and amounts, lug thickness, bolthole length, the paper further studied the mechanical properties of the joints and explored the various influences from different geometric parameters,so as to come up to the optimum solution and plan for the joints, provide theoretical foundation for subsequent advanced experiment and promoted application.
