Risk Analysis Of Automotive Part Industry Of Thailand

This study is about the risk of auto parts manufacturing companies in Thailand.The purpose is to study the main factors that contribute to the auto parts production industry’s risk.The importance of the auto industry to the Thai economy is at the top of the list.This research grouped and analyzed the main factors,evaluated its potential and impact,measured the current risk reducing methods andpractices,finally,it proposed ways to reduce risks and ways to promote the industry.The purpose of this study is to identify the factors affecting auto parts manufacturing companies,assess the likelihood and impact of the factors affecting the risks,and propose ways to reduce the risks that will occur in the auto industry.The research includes:(1)Study the auto industry supply chain;(2)Create survey questionnaires and investigate auto parts production companies;(3)Analyze the factors that affect risks;(4)Promote companies to assess the probability and impact of risk factors;(5)Summarize conclusions and make recommendations.This study examined the production of car/small truck parts(possible of producing both auto parts and bicycles),and studied the automotive industry supply chain,including three groups of related companies: raw materials or parts suppliers,automotive assembly plants,and auto dealers.Factor analysis found that the risk factors of the auto parts manufacturing companies can be divided into the following five groups:(1)raw materials and distribution processes and production aspects;(2)external factors that cannot be controlled;(3)market and customer aspects;(4)production management processes;(5)technical aspects.By analyzing the possibility and impact of each group of risk occurrences,the results show that for auto parts manufacturers,the five groups of factors have high impact and high probability except the technical factors.In particular,raw materials and distribution processes and production aspect,together with supply chain have the highest risk possibility and cause the greatest impacts.
