Belt conveyor is a kind of fast,efficient and highly mechanized material transportation equipment,which is mainly used in the transportation of bulk and granular materials such as coal,ore,concentrate and grain.The application of belt conveyor greatly reduces the labor intensity of workers,improves labor productivity,and plays an important role in the transportation of dry bulk cargo.Because it is used for a long time,severe stress and deformation of driving drum of belt conveyor,serious wear and tear of gears of driving reducer,oil seepage on each joint surface of hydraulic coupler,breakage of reducer and power transmission shaft of motor and other major problems have appeared.Therefore,in 2017,the Sixth Qingang Stock Company decided to renovate the driving system of BM1 belt conveyor with the most serious problems.It is of theoretical significance and practical value to optimize and upgrade the driving system of large belt conveyor for dry bulk terminal.In order to improve the operation efficiency and save energy of belt conveyor,the power system and measurement and control system of belt conveyor are optimized in this paper.Firstly,in view of the problems of large energy consumption,frequent failure and low automation of belt conveyor,it can not meet the actual operation needs.The power system of belt conveyor was reformed,and its overall optimization scheme was designed.The permanent magnet direct drive control was adopted instead of the traditional multi-stage deceleration control.The permanent magnet direct drive control is studied in detail,the main drive is analyzed in detail,and the intelligent servo controller is designed in detail.Brake unit and cooling unit are also indispensable parts of the power system.According to the actual operation situation,the detailed analysis and design of the brake unit and cooling unit are carried out.
