With the development of economy and the improvement of social level in urban and rural areas,dweller's travel demand has become increasingly diverse.Urban-rural passenger transport integration has been a basic requirement.In some areas,passenger demand has the characteristics of small and uneven distribution in space and time.Fixed route transit with fixed-schedule and fixed-route has poor flexibility and little coverage in the region.Demand Responsive Transport has high operating cost,which limits its development in this area,is only suitable for special groups to travel.Therefore,a new type bus is needed to solve the problems of poor efficiency of bus operation,low service level and inconvenience of residents in these areas.With the development of Mobile Internet Technology,the implementation of scheduling mode of variable route and stop provides an assistance for the situation.The MAST bus,combined the low cost of FRT with the high flexibility of DRT,provides an important way to deal with the dilemma of bus travel in urban and rural areas.Based on the characteristics of MAST bus analysis,this paper studies the passenger flow forecasting,stop layout and evaluation,route planning in the process of MAST bus route planning.Firstly,this paper analyzes the MAST bus from the basic concepts,the difference with other buses,the structure and principle of the system,functional requirements and features.Then the planning principles of MAST bus route are expounded and the route planning method is also put forward.In addition,this paper brings up the method of obtaining dynamic OD on the basis of discussing traffic district division and stop setting principle.Secondly,well considering the running cost of bus enterprises and the cost of passengers' travel time,the preliminary model of locating MAST bus stops based on OD matrix estimation of public transport demand and optimization model of bus stop based on bus historical information are established.By using MATLAB and genetic algorithm,the final route planning scheme is got.Moreover,the evaluation model of MAST bus stop based on node importance is developed by using node importance in complex networks for reference,combined with the characteristics of MAST bus.It provides an evaluation basisfor the optimization and adjustment of the route planning scheme.Finally,it is carried out on Tianjin bus 734 and the area along the line in order to verify the rationality and effectiveness of the method.And the planning scheme is compared with fixed-route transit.The results show that this method is reasonable and effective and can provide a theoretical reference and practical basis for implementing MAST operation mode in areas with low population density.
