Interactive Theory Based Interface And Visual Design Of Elderly Ability Assessment System In Pension Institutions

In the process of promoting social services for the elderly and optimizing the lifestyle of the elderly,pension institutions are more and more recognized by society.With the improvement of life quality,personalized targeted service experience of elderly care is gradually getting more attention.So that elderly ability assessment system has become an important reference for pension services.The accuracy of assessment directly impacts subsequent pension services quality.More importantly,to ensure the elderly participating the assessment has become a key to assessing the test.Thus,designing an assessment system that can make old people participate easily and get better usability,friendly experience is necessary.This paper focuses on how to use information visualization with guidance of user interaction theory to make the elderly ability assessment system available,applicable and easy to use.First,we analyzed the physiological and cognitive characteristics of the elderly participating in assessment,in order to determine the design elements for the elderly to participant and use evaluation system.Secondly,we discussed the design method based on user and activity from the interactive theory,and from these two aspects,studied goal that suitable for elderly and make them really want to participant.Next,we use information visualization to support the elderly to participate in experience and optimize visualization.Also,we proposed variety of features,such as global architecture,all-time accompany setting,image auxiliary and interface optimization,etc.In addition,we conducted interview and survey to pension agency personnel according to the segmentation of users,to understand and confirm required visualization that elderly may wish to use in the evaluation system.From these,we summarized 11 aspects of improvements for the evaluation system.Then according to goal set up from information visualization and analysis from field research,we formulated elderly ability evaluation system of visual design strategy by three aspects: overall system perspective,multi-layer interactive wizard and visual elements design.Finally,through the design of the interactive interface of the ability evaluation system,the elderly can really participate in the evaluation test and get better experience.
