With the advancement of urban construction,Tower crane is an indispensable mechanical equipment in construction.The number of utilization of tower crane is increasing,and the amount of safety accidents of tower crane are also increasing.The study of tower crane monitoring system is of great significance to prevent and reduce the occurrences of tower crane accidents.After a full analysis of the causes which will led to tower crane accidents A tower crane monitoring system is studied in this paper.Firstly,STM32F4,a core processing chip of ST company is used in the hardware system.The approach to acquire data is mainly accomplished by weight sensor,inclination sensors,rotation sensors,wind sensors and amplitude sensors which are combined with STM32F4.Data transmission is realized by ZigBee wireless transmission module CC2530.Secondly,the software system was designed.STM32F4 chip with μC/OS-III real-time operatin system transplanted is used for collecting operation status datas of tower crane combined in time with sensor modules;packages of data which are collected by STM32F4 are sent to ZigBee by serial port,then they will be transmitted to ZigBee coordinator through ZigBee wireless transmission,which linked with host computer,which establishes a Database.The operators of the terminal can get the information of each tower crane in time;the monitoring terminal is constructed by a GUI graphical user interface built by STwmwin,which is convenient for the field personnel to see the operation of the tower crane.Then,the mechanical model of the tower crane system is established,the force condition of the system is analyzed,the Lagrangian mechanical equation is established,and the optimal controller of linear quadratic regulator is designed to control the swing phenomena of the tower crane’s amplitude change and rotary motion.Compared with the PID controller,the results show that the LQR optimal controller is a more optimal one.The controller is more effective for swing control,and two kinds of collisions occurring in tower crane system are analyzed,and the corresponding collision algorithm is proposed.Finally,the functions of each part of the system are tested.The test results show that the operation status of the tower crane can be obtained in time,and any emergencies which cause casualties and economic losses can be effectively known,and corresponding measures can be taken.The reliability of the system is verified.48 figures,4 tables and 53 references are given.
