With the progress of semiconductor manufacturing technology,SoC chip technology has made great progress.The integrated capacity of SoC has reached hundreds of millions of gates,and the size and complexity of the chip have increased exponentially.On the one hand,the increasing function and scale of the chip is expected by the industry;on the other hand,the rapid improvement of SoC integration capacity will lead to the growth of development cycle,and the difficulty of controlling the cost and quality of the chip will be further increased.Therefore,the current SoC chip verification work is facing more difficulties and challenges,and the verification technology of SoC chip based on FPGA is one of the important ways to solve the current technology bottleneck.In recent years,thanks to the continuous innovation of manufacturing technology,the technology of FPGA has made remarkable progress.While reducing power consumption and cost,the function and capacity of the FPGA have been greatly improved.This makes FPGA more widely used in IC design,especially in the field of prototype verification of FPGA.The verification technology of FPGA has the advantages of low cost,flexible operation,repeatable programming and fast running speed,and can simulate the working state of the actual SoC chip more truly.Therefore,it can make up for the verification defects in the EDA simulation stage and eliminate the potential errors in the SoC design stage,thus saving the verification time and cost of SoC chip and greatly improving the success rate of streaming chip.This paper focuses on the verification platform of SoC chip for UAV image transmission and processing based on FPGA.Firstly,aiming at the SoC chip of UAV image transmission and processing which needs to be validated,the architecture and design specifications are analyzed,and the design requirements of the verification platform for FPGA are determined.The DR PHY data path module and NOR FLASH controller module based on FPGA are emphatically studied and implemented.At the same time,the validity and correctness of the design are verified.Finally,based on the DDR PHY data path module and FLASH controller module designed in this paper,combined with other sub-modules such as H.264 module and SDIO module in the system,a SoC chip verification platform for UAV image transmission and processing is constructed,and a scheme is developed to verify the system-level image compression and coding function.The validation results show that the prototype verification platform of the FPGA can effectively realize the coding and compression of video image signals,and correctly verify the image processing function of the UAV chip,which embodies the remarkable advantages of the platform built in this paper,such as high efficiency and reliability.
