Research On Competitiveness Of Tianjin North International Shipping Center

The international shipping center shows a trend of transferring from the Western Europe plate to the North America plate and then to the Asia-Pacific plate,especially to China plate with the transfer of the world economic center.Many coastal port cities in China have constructd or proposed the construction of the international shipping center,with the Shanghai International Shipping Center as a typical representative.The construction of Tianjin North International Shipping Center began in 2006,and it has reached the leading level in some aspects in Chinese international shipping center after years of construction,but there still exists a gap compared with the internationally renowned international shipping center.The publication of the "Outline for Cooperative Development of the Bohai Rim Region" in 2015 creates a good condition for Tianjin International Shipping Center to make full use of the resources of Beijing,Tianjin,Hebei,Shandong and Liaoning Province.At the same time,Tianjin Northern International Shipping Center is facing increased competition from Dalian Northeast Asia International Shipping Center and Qingdao International Shipping Center.It is urgent to explore an effective development path to achieve a dislocation development of international shipping center around Bohai Sea.In this context,it is of great significance for Tianjin North International Shipping Center to gain international fame by understanding the level of its competitiveness so as to find out its advantages and disadvantages,and then put forward countermeasures and suggestions to enhance its competitiveness.This paper studies the competitiveness of Tianjin North International Shipping Center based on the background of cooperation around the Bohai Sea.Firstly,the background and significance of the problem this paper researched was analyzed and the theoretical basis of the study by consulting,collecting and summaring the research status at home and abroad was clarified,and the research ideas and contents of this paper were pointed out;secondly,the connotation of the international shipping center and its competitiveness were combed in detail,and the commonly used competitiveness evaluation models were compared,so as to provide a theoretical framework for the competitiveness evaluation of Tianjin International Shipping Center;thirdly,the development situation of Tianjin International Shipping Center from port infrastructure,port production and operation,port and port logistics,soft environment construction were analyzed and problems such as facing the competition from the international shipping center of the same region,insufficient supply of container from the core hinterland,the supporting logistics system can not meet the development needs of international shipping centers,and lack of a perfect value chain system for shipping supporting services,were found on the basis of current situation analysis,thus to lay a foundation for further competitiveness evaluation.fourthly,an evaluation index system was established on the basis of analyzing the impact factors of Tianjin International Shipping Center’s competitiveness,the competitiveness of Tianjin International Shipping Center,Shanghai International Shipping Center,Dalian International Shipping Center and Qingdao International Shipping Center are compared and analyzed based on TOPSIS model,and the competitiveness level of Tianjin International Shipping Center is obtained,finally,some countermeasures and suggestions are put forward to enhance the competitiveness of Tianjin International Shipping Cente based on the evaluation results.The conclusion of this paper is that Tianjin International Shipping Center has matured in China,but compared with internationally renowned shipping centers such as Shanghai,Singapore,London there is still a big gap.This paper will help Tianjin North International Shipping Center to recognize its development status and situation and it is of great significance and reference value to take effective measures to improve its competitiveness.
