Research On VDES Communication Gateway Based On Embedded System

In 2015,the International Telecommunication Union(ITU)released a draft VHF Data Exchange System(VDES)standard to support future e-Navigation strategies and maritime broadband information exchange needs.VDES has developed the Application Specific Messages(ASM)service and the VHF Data Exchange(VDE)service based on the original Automatic Identification System(AIS)service,effectively solving the AIS.The problem of insufficient bandwidth for information exchange.Based on this,this paper studies the communication gateway technology applicable to VDES,which enables VDES equipment to seamlessly access the IP network and effectively promote the promotion and application of VDES.The paper studies the four-layer architecture of VDES and the asymmetric multi-processing(AMP)mode of multi-core heterogeneous chip.The deployment scheme of VDES communication gateway in multi-core heterogeneous chip AMP mode is given,and it is proposed to be suitable for multi-device connection.VDES gateway routing model into VDES.At the same time,the paper studies the inter-core communication mechanism of multi-core heterogeneous chip AMP mode,and studies the data transmission delay characteristics of VDES gateway routing model.Based on the above research results,the paper further analyzes the functional requirements of the VDES communication gateway system,and designs and implements the overall architecture and system logic framework of the VDES communication gateway system.Furthermore,the paper designs the inter-core communication mechanism based on the multi-core heterogeneous chip AMP mode,including the shared memory area planning and the design of the inter-core communication protocol.Finally,the paper designs the VDES routing engineering model in detail,including the overall architecture of the VDES gateway routing model,device identity management mechanism,data exchange protocol,and communication protocol.Finally,the paper tests the main functions of the VDES communication gateway system.The results show that the VDES communication gateway system can operate normally in the multi-core heterogeneous chip AMP mode,realizes the access and data interaction of 255 external devices,and realizes stable data interaction between multiple cores through the inter-core communication mechanism.At the same time,external equipment of different ships or shore stations can realize end-to-end communication through the VDES gateway routing model.
