As the core device in substation integrated automation system, communicationgateway has been used to connect the dispatch terminal with other device to achievethe communication of different power communication protocol. Communicationgateway plays a key role in communication hub in the dispatching automation system,so it has a great effect on the stable operation of substation integrated automationsystem.“DL/T634-2002” is the electric power industry standard of our country on thebasis of “IEC60870-5-101”, and, at present, the101protocol has been widely appliedin the domestic distribution network automation system. Hence, the communicationprotocol based on the101protocol between intelligent communication gateway anddistribution network master has better compatibility for the open and standardequipment.This paper has discussed characteristics of ARM920T microprocessor and theLinux operating system about the intelligent communication gateway. The serial portcommunication has been achieved in Linux system and101protocol communicationssoftware has been programmed in C++language. To implement the managementmachine parameter configuration software, the features of about MFC, C++and theSQLite database in the VS2010environment in communication gateway softwaredesign have been analyzed in the paper. By focusing on the balanced modetransmission design necessity in101protocol link layer, the paper has proposed adesign scheme for the intelligent select of the transmission mode to meet thetele-control101protocol comprehensive application needs of modern powerautomation equipment, and arm at the balance transmission mode blank in powerequipment application. According to the scheme, the communication design of thesub-station and the main station, and normal data transmission communicationbetween them, has been achieved. Parameter configuration software has been utilizedto modify the operating parameters of communication gateway, and the MFCinterface design methods been implemented programming.Simulation test has been done on the basis of the automation system of101protocol transmission mode in practical engineering application. Test scheme hasbeen established and the parameters set to the running environment of the powerequipment. The simulation results show that parameter configuration is feasible, andit demonstrates the design scheme is reasonable, efficient by the analyzing experimental results and packet, which promote the application of101protocolintelligent transmission mode in power control equipment.
