With the rapid development of the global economy and recovery of the shipping ind ustry market,the size and number of marine container ships are increasing.In order to m eet the needs of the development of shipping economy to the greatest extent,ultra-large container ships are the best choice.Therefore,from the perspective of safety of the mari ner,cargo and environment,it is necessary to conduct an in-depth study of its maneuvera bility and replenish the mathematical model of ultra-large container ships.Considering the unique ship characteristics of the ultra-large twin propeller and twin rudder container ship,this paper studies the maneuverability of the ultra-large container ship with twin propeller and twin rudder based on the achievements of the outstanding sc holars.Based on the MMG idea,this paper divides the mathematical model of the ultra-1 arge container ship into separately module and consider the interaction and independent e ffect of them throughly;And considering the increasing seriousness of ship's large-scale,the impact of wind loads on ship motion is increasing.This paper collects relevant data f or regression processing,and obtains a wind load coefficient calculation matrix suitable f or today's ultra large container ships;Then the mathematical model is established which can accurately describe ship motion under the condition of external environment interfere nce.Finally,the mathematical model of four degrees for ultra-large twin propeller and t win rudder container ship is gotten.In the simulation,firstly,by analyzing and comparing the simulation trajectory and data of the turning test and the stopping test,the accuracy of the model replenished in th is paper and the feasibility of subsequent maneuver simulation prediction are verified.Se condly,with the Simulink module of Matlab,the emergency stopping test,the inertia dec eleration test,the ship's steering test under the influence of wind,and the U-turn assisted by the tug and the thruster under the influence of wind are carried out,it reveals the m aneuverability of ultra-large container ships and provides a theoretical reference for safely driving ultra-large container ships.The mathematical model of the ultra-large container ship with twin propeller and tw in rudder replenished in this paper can be used for the motion simulation of similar ultra-large container ships to predict its maneuverability.It also has some reference significan ce for improving the simulator of ultra-large container ship.
