| In the context of the rapid development of the national tourism industry,the new form of rural tourism in China has also been favored by more and more people.Vigorous development of rural tourism promotes the rapid development of rural hotels,homestays,youth hostels and other related industries.However,looking at the current research and development of rural hotels or youth hostels,we can see that the theoretical research level of rural youth hostels is relatively weak,and high-quality rural youth hostel projects are rare.At the same time,because driven by market interests,rural hotels or youth hostels have distorted development,lack of systematic and scientific design theory guidance,many new hotels have poor design quality or serious homogeneity,and do not make good use of local characteristics cultural resources but superficial.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to carry out systematic research on the transformation of old rural buildings into youth hostels from functional design to form design.This paper firstly summarizes the formation and development,concept,classification and characteristics of youth hostel through multi-party literature collection,and summarizes the basic principles of youth hostel design.In-depth thinking on how to build up the overall quality of youth hostel to meet the needs of contemporary youth.Then,based on the research of the actual situation of the project,the modern minimalist design concept of "Yu Fang Yuan" Youth Hostel is proposed,and then analyzed and discussed from the perspective of function and form.Firstly,design and analyze the overall functional layout of the hostel,fully respect the spatial structure and other characteristics of the original building,and realize the modest and appropriate function conversion of the building,so as to meet the functional needs of the "Yu Fang Yuan" hostel.Then from the form of modern simplicity,we can create modern simplicity style from the perspective of space,color,decorative materials and furniture accessories.Finally,in the author’s graduate period,"Yu Fang Yuan" Youth Hostel actual project to verify the feasibility of the design concept,in order to provide a reference for the rural youth hostel transformation design. |
