Giving full play to the advantages of different transportation modes and developing a comprehensive transportation system with organic integration of multiple transportation modes are the inevitable choices for China to develop transportation,better serve social and economic development and meet people's ever-increasing travel needs.Sea-rail intermodal transport is a very important field in the comprehensive transport system,which has been paid attention to by the competent departments of railway and maritime transport.This paper attempts to take the organization and planning of railway transportation in the port area as the core and the railway private line in rongxing port area of panjin port as the case.On the basis of the existing theoretical research,this paper makes a systematic analysis and exploration,so as to do some useful work for the in-depth research in this field The traditional railway freight yard is an important node of railway freight transportation.It is mainly responsible for railway transportation tasks,such as arranging loading and assembling of goods to the railway for transportation and unloading and delivering of goods from the railway transportation to the destination area.Its basic function is to arrange loading,unloading and short-term storage of goods.It mainly includes traditional freight yard,container center station and railway integrated freight yard.In recent years,the railway transport work has been gradually transformed from simply completing the cargo transport task under the national macroeconomic conditions to the market economy conditions,especially the recent modernization and reconstruction of the port cargo yard,forming the multi-level transport facilities.The main research content of this paper is as follows:Firstly,the calculation method of railway transportation capacity is summarized.Make clear the background of project construction and put forward the necessity of construction.Secondly,on the basis of previous studies,this paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of various railway traffic volume forecasting methods and models,and determines the forecasting methods of project traffic volume after comprehensive comparison.According to panjin development plan,comprehensive analysis of various related factors affecting the port development,forecasting the volume of panjin project;On the basis of traffic volume forecast,the traffic volume calculation and transportation capacity analysis are carried out.Finally,the paper introduces the technical equipment of the connecting station and the connecting scheme.Introduce the general situation of private line station and the description of station design;On the basis of volume forecast,transportation organization and long-term port planning,and fully considering the characteristics of cargo flow direction,three planning schemes are studied,and the advantages and disadvantages of each scheme are compared with the investment estimation,and the optimal scheme is finally determined and recommended.
