With the continuous development of the maritime shipping industry, people's demand for maritime communication is increasing, and the expectation of point-to-point communication between ships is also increasing. With the continuous research and development of VHF Data Exchange System(VDES)proposed by the International Telecommunication Union and the International Association of Navigation Marks, its high-speed data exchange service provides the possibility of achieving ship networking, and will effectively promote the development of ship networking technology. The use of routing protocols in VDES assists in establishing communication links, which can meet the practical application requirements of point-to-point communication between ships.Based on this, this paper studies the routing algorithm of ship networking based on Greedy Perimeter Stateless Routing Protocol(GPSR)protocol. This research can realize the transmission of information between ships, which has very important practical significance for the current maritime information construction and the development of ship networking. The thesis first studies the mobile self-organizing network, proposes the ship routing network model, analyzes the functional requirements of the ship networking research, designs the overall framework, and gives the overall design plan.At the same time, the thesis studies the existing mobility model in detail and analyzes the ship's mobility characteristics.Based on this, the thesis proposes a node movement model that conforms to the ship's motion characteristics, and studies the applicability of the ship movement model. The thesis further studies the Mobile Ad Hoc Network(MANET)routing protocol. After comprehensively analyzing the characteristics of the protocol, the GPSR protocol is used as the reference route for ship networking. However,GPSR protocol has certain defects when it is applied to maritime communication system,so an improved scheme of routing protocol is proposed. Then, the paper designs and implements the link stability and reliability transmission of Vessels based Greedy Perimeter Stateless Routing(GPSR-LRV)protocol suitable for ship communication, including software framework, data structure, communication mechanism and reliability transmission. Finally, the thesis tests the main functions and performance of the GPSR-LRV protocol under the Smooth Turning Gauss-Markov Mobility Model(STGM model). The results show that, compared with the GPSR protocol, the GPSR-LRV protocol can achieve data interaction in a static heterogeneous node environment. In environments with different node densities, the packet delivery rate has increased by an average of 10%,and the highest has been increased by 20%.At different movement speeds, the packet delivery rate has increased by an average of 18%,with a maximum increase of 34%.The research in this paper shows that the improved GPSR protocol can adapt to the maritime communication scenario and has better performance in the communication between ships.
