| Wind environment is an important factor affecting the satisfaction of urban outdoor environment.The plant configuration of green space not only influences the spatial composition of high-rise settlements,but also affects the comfort of the wind environment and the quality of residents’ life.The current planting design of settlements mainly considers landscape aesthetics,rather than the impact of plant tree species configuration and community layout on th e wind environment of the settlements.This study focuses more on the practical climate characteristics of the Northeast region.We strive to optimize the design methods of r esidential vegetation to create a safe and comfortable residential space by reducing the impact of strong winds caused by high frequency monsoons on the daily life of urban residents.The outdoor environment of three high-rise residential areas in Harbin was selected as the research object.Literature review,field research,wind enviro nment field measurement and CFD simulation technology are applied to analyze the wind field and the key area of wind environment optimization in the high-rise residential area.Furthermore,according to tree species,configuration and community layout,the specific impact of different vegetation design on wind environment is analyzed.The methods and rules of improving wind environment in high-rise residential areas by plant design are discussed and formed.The feasibility and universality of vegetation des ign were verified by numerical simulation and clear vegetation design strategies can be formed.The results suggest that(1)the turbulent flow area,the angle flow area and the vortex flow area of dense-high-rise buildings are critical for design optimization.(2)The wind strength is effectively decreased at the pedestrian height of 1.5m by tree community configuration composed of small arbor and shrubs,while the range of wind fields is narrowed by the community including big and small arbor.(3)Different tree arrangement patterns should be considered corresponding to exact air flow fields in vegetation design to achieve best results.Row-typed tree arrangement pattern should be applied in a direction toward the air flow or with a large angle,line-typed tree arrangement pattern should be applied on the residential building corners,and enclosed tree arrangement pattern should be implemented in the area where vortex wind dominates.In summary,the designer can determine the areas with severe wind environment th e vegetation design of high-rise settlements through a combination of actual measurement and simulation.Corresponding landscape vegetation optimization strategies have been proposed to effectively guide the vegetation design of high-rise settlements according to the wind environment type of its flow field in cold regions of Northeast China. |
