Taking the main road green belts of Jincheng City in Shanxi Province as the research object,this study investigates the cross-sectional forms of greening on 20 different grades of roads(expressways,main roads,sub-main roads),the types and growth status of greening plants in branch belts and roadway tree belts,analyses the allocation mode of greening plants on roads,and makes a comprehensive evaluation of trees and shrubs on road greening in Jincheng City by using AHP analysis method.Through screening,the tree species with higher advantages and better landscape effect were obtained.The existing problems of road greening in Jincheng City were analyzed,and optimization suggestions were put forward.The main results of the study are as follows:(1)The cross-sectional forms of 20 main and secondary roads in Jincheng City were investigated.The main green cross-sectional forms of roads were three boards and four belts.There were 11 roads,accounting for 55% of the total number of roads.There are five roads with one board and two belts,and one road with three boards and four belts and three roads with four boards and five belts,respectively.Generally speaking,the form of section is relatively single.(2)In the road surveyed by Jincheng City,the application status,ornamental characteristics and growth status of road greening tree species were analyzed one by one.It was concluded that there were 45 species of greening tree species in 25 families,34 genera,19 species of flowering plants,29 species of foliage plants,10 species of ornamental plants and 2 species of dried plants.In terms of growth conditions,there are 13 excellent plants,18 good plants,11 common plants and 4 poor plants.Generally speaking,most plants grow well and well.In the selection of plants,the selection space is still large,so deciduous and shrub species should be appropriately increased,and more native tree species should be used to increase the potential ecological benefits of road greening.(3)Applying AHP analytic hierarchy process to construct the comprehensive evaluation system of road greening tree species in Jincheng City,then calculating the weight of each index,and then calculating the total weight of road greening.Then the comprehensive scores of trees and shrubs were obtained by scoring calculation.The results showed that the comprehensive ranking of Chinese sophora,cedar,green peach andjuniper was higher.Hibiscus hibiscus and Phellodendron boxwood were the first-class tree species with higher comprehensive scores.(4)To analyze and summarize the configuration mode of road greening in Jincheng city,including tree belts,mid-car belts and side-car belts.The allocation mode of roadside tree belts is mostly planting one or two rows of tree species,while some of the sub-belts are only a single level position of trees and shrubs.The allocation mode is relatively single,and the selection of plant species is limited.As a result,the ground is more exposed,and the ecological function and ornamental effect are poor.Afterwards,the tree species with higher score obtained from the analytic hierarchy process are used to put forward the optimization scheme according to the present situation of road greening in Jincheng City.
