With the rapid development of China automotive industry,as an important means of transportation for modern people, bus plays a more and more important role.Especially in the past ten years, with the increasing support of the state and local governments for the new energy automobile industry, the construction of a large number of high-grade highways, and the upgrading of people’s demand for better travel, the development of high-speed rail technology impels the bus industry to bring forth new ideas and learn from the mature design methods and techniques of passenger cars.To improve the driving experience of bus drivers.Domestic mainstream bus enterprises, compared with foreign first-class manufacturers, use ergonomics principles and technology to arrange driving areas.Although they have certain independent research and development capabilities, there are still some gaps. Moreover, due to the differences in driving environment between passenger cars and passenger cars, the mature Ergonomics Technology of passenger cars can not be fully borrowed. Therefore, there is an urgent need for in-depth and systematic study of the bus driving area,in order to improve the driver’s working environment with the most scientific and reasonable layout scheme, which is of great significance not only to improve the passenger car’s active safety, but also to ensure the driver’s health and improve driving comfort.Based on the development process of our company’s 8-meter rear-mounted highway bus,XX6806 BEV,this paper makes a thorough and systematic study on the layout technology of driving area by using the key technology and evaluation method of ergonomics design, complete main working achievement as follows:using :customized CATIA knowledge engineering template, considering the difference of target drivers group, according different human body dimensions, research and summary the ergonomic design content and process for rear highway passenger vehicle cab, establish the process for rear highway passenger designing method.completed main working achievement as follows:(1)Through choosing 95th-percentiles,50/50 male/female ratio human body,as the client target and designing standard, establish heel-point、H-point appropriate line and seating reference point,in the scope of seat adjusting distance of travel, confirm the work space of driver.(2)Through establishing drivers’ stomach envelope line、knee envelope line, confirm steering wheel and dash board boundary, confirm drivers’ stomach and knee activity space, and make sure the space is not invaded.drivers can complete driving movement.(3)By use eye ellipse, complete the check of forward direct view, traffic light view, indirect rear view, dash board view, and through optimizing rearview mirror, offer a wide sphere view work space.(4)Through defining steering wheel initial location and angle, combining steering wheel adjust journey, complete human body sitting position analysis;establish drivers’ shift and pedal operations, optimize the rocker swith and button position in dash board area, and make sure driver can complete operation convenient, not moving body trunk rapidly, meet drivers’ physiological needs, and alleviate fatigue driving, make sure drive safe、effective、quick and convenient. In this study, rear highway passenger vehicle cab was taken as a special and complex man machine.By the aid of theory of man machine engineering, customized CATIA knowledge engineering form board and computerized simulation the CAD method of loader cab was realized, related parameter was solidified, subsequent new product design was guided..And it provides an effective way for rear highway passenger vehicle cab design and performance tests. And this way can reduce time shorten the development time and cost.
