The PXI(PCI Extensions for Instrumentation)platform supplements PCI(Peripheral Component Interconnect)signals,inherits the advantages of the PCI bus,and adds unique functions.With the increasing development of science,how to create the most effective and competitive automatic test system in the shortest time and fastest speed has become the focus of people's attention,which is a particularly large knowledge.The PXI test platform has become an important and frequent choice in automatic test platform related projects because of its fast speed,large capacity,low cost,and strong reliability.The design of the PXI board is a vital part of the PXI platform.According to the requirements of a test bench high-speed bus interface,this paper carried out the design and development of a high-speed board based on the PXI bus.After consulting a large amount of information and fully understanding the PXI protocol,it is proposed to use a programmable logic device(including FPGA,CPLD,etc.)to write a program to implement the PXI bus interface function.In this design,FPGA is used as the main control chip,and external circuits are controlled for data collection.The collected data is exchanged with the PXI backplane signals and transmitted to the computer through the PXI high-speed interface.The software interface is to complete related PXI driver program through WINDOWSXP system,WDM driver structure,DRIVERWORKS and DDK driver development software.In addition,corresponding application test programs have been developed.This article is different from the previous PXI test platform.It uses a dedicated PCI chip(PCI9054,PCI9052)communication board,but uses the FPGA to complete the PXI protocol.Compared with the traditional PXI board,the development cycle is shorter and more targeted It saves logical resources,has more flexible design,and has important industrial value.Finally,by building a test platform,the test proved that the board designed this time realized the basicfunctions of PXI interface and high-speed data transmission.
