With the continuous update of avionics and the rapid development of our aviation industry, the integration level and complexity of airborne avionics is increasing.Fibre Channel as the next generation aviation bus,has many advantages such as high bandwidth,high real-time,and low-latency.Fibre Channel is widely used in various avionics.This paper mainly research the fibre channel protocol of the avionics environment.For this purpose,this paper introduce the FC-AE-ASM protocol and do corresponding analysis. According to the demand of function and performance of avionics testing interface,this paper proposes the overall design of Fibre Channel test interface,which includes Fibre Channel data processing module.PCIE interface control module,host driver module and application layer software module. The hardware design consists of the Fibre Channel data processing module and the PCIE interface control module.The software design include host driver module and application layer software module.Fibre Channel data processing module realizes the photoelectric signal conversion and the transmition and reception of FC frames.First,we research and analyze the optical fiber communication module and the GTX transceiver in the high-speed serial transmission.Then we propose the solution of Fibre Channel based on the IP core which is integrated in the Xilinx FPGA and research some key modules of the IP core.The key modules include the Link Controller Module,the MAC module,the Client Interface Module,the Management Interface Module and the Credit Management module.Finally,we simulate and analyze the fibre channel link function(including the Link Initialization Protocol, the Link Reset Protocol and the Link Recovery Protocol)and the function of Client Interface Module,the Management Interface Module and the Credit Management Module by the Modelsim.The main function of PCIE interface control module is to transmit and receive the FC frames to the PC through the PCIE interface. First,we research the architecture,transaction mechanism, frame format and configuration of space of PCIE bus.Then,according to the design requirement of Fibre Channel test interface,we propose the design of DMA which is based on the PCIE IP core,presenting the detail PCIE core’s generation process and the detail design of DMA controller.The function of DMA read and write transfers were verified in the field.Host driver module is to realize the hardware driver of PCIE interface and fibre channel up layer protocol and provide API interface for application layer software.In the first place,this paper introduce the development process of Win Driver driver program and present the designs of hardware interface layer,protocol processing layer and application interface layer.Application layer Software module realizes the control of the ASM message transmission through PC.Based on API interface provided by driver,we develop the ASM message transmission and reception control software based on Microsoft Visual C++6.0.This program realizes the function of device management and communication management.By the debug in the field,the application layer software can achieve the stable point-to-point communication.
