Research On The Protection And Development Of The Space In The Traditional Settlement

The model of settlement for human being has evolved from the original nesting and cave dwelling to settlement,and then,the shapes of colony had been emerged,and it was integrated with nature through continuous construction activities as well as it could be.The Traditional villages were gradually formed in the long-term inheritance of farming civilization,presenting cultural customs,and the art of architectural,rural and urban spatial patterns.The spatial form of the village contains rich development concept of symbiosis between man and nature.It was the crystallization of wisdom from human for thousands of years as an important part of Chinese traditional culture.Today,the contradiction between village culture and modern life mode is increasing rapidly with the rapid development of urbanization.How to protect the traditional settlement space form with rich types effectively? Outstanding geographical and national characteristics,and historical and cultural information? That is the problem needs to consideration seriously.Jieting is located in the famous scenery Maiji Mountain,Tianshui City,Gansu Province.It has become a model of traditional settlements in the southeastern of Gansu with its overall spatial pattern,street features,regional architecture and beautiful natural landscape,and it has been settled as Historical and cultural village of China in 2014.The history of Jieting has being more than a thousand years.The formation and development of its village structure is a self-organized-led growth process.The overall shapes maintained the characteristics of the villages and towns in Guanzhong and Tianshui,and maintained the architectural culture of the Ming and Qing Dynasties,being worthy of research.Understanding and sorting out the characteristics and evolution of the space structure of Jieting has a typical significance for research the spatial form of traditional villages in the Silk Road.This paper selected the town of Jieting in Tianshui as the object to research,the main content included traditional villages and towns,the overall settlement space form and its protection and development as investigation,surveying and mapping,and literature collection,and the paper analyzed the spatial factors of the ancient town,including the factors influencing its formation and development.To analyze the status quo and existing dilemmas,and combine the problems faced by settlement protection,focused on the formation and evolution of settlement space patterns under the influence of cultural environment in specific regions.Through the specific analysis of architectural space,the corresponding protection and development strategies are proposed.The paper includes five parts.Chapters 1 and 2 are theoretical discussions,including the background of the research,research review,research content,research methods and frameworks,and summarize the relevant theories of settlement space,such as the definition of related concepts,traditional villages.The characteristics and classification,evolution and influencing factors,and the spatial structure of settlements provide theoretical basis for the research;Chapters 3 and 4 are empirical analysis,mainly for the analysis and induction of the spatial form of the ancient town of Jieting.Including the formation and development of settlements,regional cultural characteristics,overall and partial spatial forms,and the spatial dimensions of village buildings;Chapter 5 is a summary of development strategies,summarizing the problems faced by the current development of Jieting Ancient Town,and relying on cultural background,At the level of settlement space,the relationship between traditional village protection and development is discussed,and macro protection strategies and specific development measures are proposed.
