With the development of China's foundation construction in the direction of complexity,large volume,energy conservation and environmental protection,the new areas such as sea filling and city building,sludge foundation treatment,landfill will require higher and higher settlement and precision control of the foundation.However,due to the irregular shape and gradation of soil particles,the research is not mature enough.The purpose of this paper is to study the settlement performance of saturated soil foundation by means of experiment and finite element software analysis.Soil particles are the important foundation of saturated foundation.Therefore,no matter what method is used to analyze saturated foundation,the physical properties of soil particles cannot be ignored.The traditional calculation method assumes that the soil is homogeneous and isotropic,regardless of the actual particle size and shape,which is inconsistent with the actual situation.In this paper,Voronoi grid with different number of nucleation points of the same degree of irregularity is used to simulate the shape of the actual soil particles,and the finite element model is established and the numerical analysis is carried out,and the results are compared with the test results.The Voronoi model has been widely applied in the fields of geographic information system,radio honeycomb grid,concrete random aggregate,foam metal and other research fields.It is easy to solve the irregularity,nucleation point and related mechanical properties according to the known conditions,which has aroused wide attention of scholars.Scholars at home and abroad have studied the influence of Voronoi model irregularity and different nucleation points on the settlement of soil particles.Although the research on settlement of saturated foundation has made great progress,it is mostly based on macro research,and the research on soil particles is not systematic enough.In order to study the settlement process of soil particles more systematically,this paper does some research work on the mechanical properties of saturated foundation under axial load.The main tasks are as follows:(1)Consolidation test of saturated kaolin and cinnamon.Determine the specific gravity,initial moisture content,liquid limit and plastic limit,maximum dry density and optimum moisture content of the soil sample,make saturation according to the requirements,record the value of the sample under the same consolidation time of different levels of load,and process the data to obtain the corresponding degree of consolidation.(2)ABAQUS finite element software analysis.Combined with the existing test results of components,the conventional ABAQUS numerical model and Voronoi model with different number of nucleation points with the same degree of irregularity are simulated and analyzed by using ABAQUS finite element analysis software.In order to verify the feasibility of the finite element analysis,the consistency between the measured value and the analysis value of the saturated foundation settlement was investigated.The results show that the displacement simulation value of Voronoi model with different nucleation points obtained by ABAQUS is close to the experimental value,and the agreement is good.
