Tilting pad thrust bearing is widely used in ship power propulsion system,water wheel generator set and various large rotating mechanical equipment.With the rapid development of industry,faced with high speed and heavy load conditions,people have higher and higher requirements on the working performance and reliability of tilting pad thrust bearing.When the surface failure of thrust bearing will cause huge economic loss,so it is of great significance to ensure the good lubrication state of thrust bearing.At present,the research on the lubrication performance of tilting pad thrust bearings is mostly based on immersion lubrication,while injection lubrication is only a simple application,lacking theoretical in-depth research.In view of the above problems,this paper focuses on analyzing the lubrication performance of injection-lubricated tilting pad thrust bearing under different working conditions.In this paper,a mathematical model for fluid lubrication of injection-lubricated tilting pad thrust bearings is established,and the boundary conditions of the basic equations are determined.The pressure distribution,temperature distribution and thickness distribution of oil film for oil-injection lubricated tilting pad thrust bearing are obtained by using finite element method.Using ANSYS simulation software and according to the calculated oil film temperature and pressure,the deformation simulation analysis of the thrust pad is carried out to analyze the deformation law of the thrust pad when the working condition changes and the tile structure changes.Finally,the Fortran-compiled tilting pad thrust bearing lubrication calculation program was used to obtain the oil film thickness,oil film temperature,oil film pressure and other lubrication performance parameters of the injection-lubricated tilting pad thrust bearing,and the lubrication performance of the oil-immersed tilting pad thrust bearing was analyzed and compared.The results show that the variation trend of the lubrication performance of injection-lubricated tilting bearing is similar to that of oil-immersed bearing under different working conditions and tile structure.Under the same working conditions,the oil film thickness of injection-lubricated tilting pad thrust bearing is greater than that of immersed lubrication,and the oil film pressure and oil film temperature are less than that of immersed lubrication.Under normal and stable operation,oil-injected tilting type thrust bearing shows slightly better lubrication performance than oil-immersed type tilting type thrust bearing.
