Study On The Accessibility Of Public Space In University Campus

From the end of the 20 th century to the beginning of the 21 st century,colleges and universities expanded the enrollment scale and strengthened the construction of campus bases,resulting in such problems as too long walking distance and accessibility of public space among various functional areas of the university campus.Campus planners and architects pay little attention to public space,which leads to unreasonable distribution and weak accessibility of public space.The development of science and technology provides a set of effective auxiliary tools for accessibility analysis and demand analysis,making the analysis results more simple,accurate,scientific and effective.This paper mainly studies the accessibility of university campus public space,taking Jinming Campus of Henan University as the object of empirical analysis.Firstly,from the building layout and public space layout of Jinming Campus,the equilibrium of public space layout is analyzed to understand the location layout of supply and demand.Through investigation,observation and interview,this paper summarizes the factors affecting the accessibility of public space from five aspects,The nature of land use,the road network system,The position of the entrance and exit of public space and its relation with the position of travel flow line,Travel mode,public space environment quality five aspects,The factors affecting the accessibility of public space are summarized and the current situation of public space in Jinming Campus is analyzed.Secondly,the accessibility analysis model is established.The line segment model is used to analyze the global accessibility,local accessibility and perceived accessibility of public space through global integration,local integration and synergy.Using the convex model,the potential of public space to attract people is analyzed through integration,selection and understandability.GIS network analysis is used to analyze the actual scale accessibility and service blindness.Finally,the accessibility of public space is optimized according to relevant theories and accessibility analysis results.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)The accessibility of public space on university campus is affected by many factors,such as the layout of public space,functional zoning of university campus,density of road network and facilities points on road network,the relationship between the entrance and exit position of public space and the location of main travel flow line,travel mode and environmental quality of public space.(2)Spatial syntactic analysis was carried out in Jinming Campus of Henan University,and the accessibility characteristics of spatial structure of public space in Jinming Campus were obtained.First,there is dislocation between the layout of public space in Jinming Campus and the road space's global integration and the local integration high value area.Second,the jinming Campus of Henan University has high global and local accessibility of public space,but there is a big difference in perceived accessibility between public Spaces.The global and local accessibility of Jingru Lake waterfront are both higher,while that of Xueyin Lake is lower.Third,the analysis of the global accessibility and local accessibility of road space shows that the road space of Boxiang Road,Zhongzhou Road(except the road space from the Great West gate to the Great North Gate),Hongzi Road,Wenlan Road,the road south of the Entrepreneurship Center and the road east of the Jiaoyuan Restaurant are both of high global accessibility and local accessibility,while the road space of East Sports ground is the weakest.Fourth,through the analysis of convex space integration,selection and collaboration,the Jinming Campus public space system recognition is high.The waterfront of Jingru Lake and Marco Square have the highest accessibility in the whole public space system,with strong capacity to attract people and strong travel potential.Nanyuan Square agglomeration attraction potential and travel potential is weak,the accessibility is weak.(3)Based on GIS network analysis of public space in Jinming Campus of Henan University,the actual scale accessibility characteristics of public space in Jinming Campus are obtained: the public space for 1 minute service range,service blind area biggest public space,it is mainly distributed outside the loop of Zhongzhou Road,and focuses on the study area around seven(a,b,c,d,e,f,g),with the increase of time service blind area is shrinking.Within 7 minutes of service,from any point field in the study area,it takes 7 minutes to reach the nearest public space for activities.(4)Optimize and improve the accessibility of public space in Jinming Campus: Improve the whole traffic system by widening the road,optimizing the road space environment,restricting the passage of motor vehicles and improving the route identification system.Through GIS network analysis,small and medium-sized public space is added in the blind area of public space service.By improving the environmental quality of public space and rationally arranging the entrance position of public space,the attraction of public space can be enhanced.
