Ancient masonry pagoda is the artistic treasure of the Chinese nation,and it shows the advanced construction techniques of ancient China and has high scientific research value for studying the ancient science and technology level.After hundreds of years and even thousands of years of natural erosion and man-made destruction,the existing ancient pagodas already have various structural problems,such as tilt,crack,uneven settlement of foundation,etc.At the same time,China is also a multi-earthquake country,and the earthquake will cause serious damage to the ancient masonry pagoda.Therefore,research on the protection of ancient masonry pagoda need to start right away.In this paper,taking Xiangshan Temple Pagoda as the research object,through on-site investigation,detection and calculation analysis,quantitatively considering the influence of tilt,crack and other diseases,we analyze its current safety status and explore the factors causing its damage.For the cracks and weathering of the pagoda body,the repairing measures are proposed.For the situation that the pagoda body has a tilt that is not associated with pagoda base,the wall cutting method by cutting gray seam is proposed.The finite element model of Xiangshan Temple Pagoda was established,then self-vibration period and mode of Xiangshan Temple Pagoda are obtained by modal analysis.After determining the rationality of the model,EL-centro wave,Taft wave and Lanzhou artificial wave are input,and the time-history analysis of 7-degree small earthquake intensity and 7-degree medium earthquake intensity is carried out by amplitude modulation,then the seismic responses of Xiangshan Temple Pagoda under different seismic waves and different earthquake intensities are obtained.Combined with the method of ultimate displacement evaluation and the method of ultimate bearing capacity evaluation method,we analyze its seismic behavior.Finally,according to the structural characteristics of ancient masonry pagoda,two seismic reinforcement schemes of pasting carbon fiber and setting the ring beam and the structural column are proposed,and the design and simulation analysis of the reinforcement effect are carried out.
