Tiantai Mountain temple garden is an important branch of Zhejiang temple garden.A comprehensive study of Tiantai Mountain temple garden gardening artists from a regional perspective will help to deeply analyze the local characteristics of temple gardens in Zhejiang and help improve Chinese temple gardens.Related research.At the same time,it can provide a reference for better protection and inheritance of Tiantaishan temple gardens and the development of temple gardens with Zhejiang Tiantai regional characteristics.Through literature inquiries,field investigations and on-site interviews,the characteristics of Tiantaishan temple gardens are analyzed as follows:1)The gardener’s work is based on the location selection of the land.Influenced by the traditional Chinese "feng shui" thinking,the site selection is more dependent on the mountain and the water,which fits the ideal feng shui model guarded by the "four spirits".Affected by Tiantai Sect ’s “Twelve Destiny Concepts” and other ideas,the ideal human settlement environment with harmonious management shows the characteristics of “fitting with Fengshui and harmony”.In the spatial planning,the temple pays attention to providing services for religious activities in order to achieve the purity of all beings."Heart",outside the temple pay attention to the leading space management to achieve the "sense mind",showing the characteristics of "step into Zen,people-oriented";the architectural layout emphasizes the leading role of the main body in "one mind and three thousand" on the axis The main hall is laid out,and the courtyard courtyard layout is the main display,showing the characteristics of "the main axis is distinct,the layout of the courtyard courtyard";in the plant landscape,the plant selection is mainly local tree species,and the configuration is more natural and regular.The trees that are suitable for survival under the influence of "one tree and one grass" are preserved,showing the characteristics of "suitable for nature and ancient woods";the method of water management,because of borrowing natural water sources such as streams,springs,waterfalls,etc.,combined with "relentless" "Sexuality" and other ideas artificially build a release pool,showing the characteristics of "smartly borrowing water sources and thinking about all living beings".2)The same roots of Tiantai Sect and Zen have individuality and commonality in the conception of the garden.The personality is represented by the “sexual reality,sensuous possession” of the Tiantai Sect and the “origin of mind and externality” of Zen;"Six roots and six consciousnesses,the environment grows outside the image","things blend with each other,and endow meaning." The expression of the artistic conception of gardening is mainly reflected in the three points of "nature","simplification" and "implicit" in terms of techniques,methods and characteristics.Using the sense of nature to create a "natural" artistic conception to highlight the "Taiwanese Buddhism" philosophy of the rooftop;using stone carvings,stone monuments and other simple and memorable garden art as a carrier,the rooftop Buddhist culture contained in the temple gardens is integrated into the current " "Simplified" Buddhist temple garden artistic conception;through poetic poems and phrases,to inspire visitors’ unlimited reverie,couplets and plaques have gradually become the best carrier for expressing "implicit" artistic conception in Buddhist temple gardens.
