In recent years,the rapid development of control technology and Internet technology,the computer era has gradually passed,the age of the Internet of things is accelerating.Under the influence of the Internet of things,the equipment in the life is gradually becoming intelligent,and the intelligent home products are developing towards the intelligent and rapid development.But most enterprises do not pay much attention to the improvement of product design methods.There are still many problems to be solved in the market,and we hope to improve the existing problems by studying the design methodsThrough access to literature review and field research to understand the current status of smart home industry.And classifying existing products,compared with the traditional home products,and then summary the characteristic of the smart home products,including intelligence,connectivity,individuation,Iteration fast,Self-learning and remote control,and sum up some problems in current,serious product homogeneity,high Iteration costs,and poor users' experience.Aiming at the existing problems of smart products,participatory design,modular design and interactive design are proposed to improve respectively.Then based on the traditional design methods of smart home products research,summarizes the shortcoming that exists in the design process is product-centric designThrough the discussion of the problem and the design method of smart home product,the integrated application of smart home product design method is summarized.The paper puts forward the design method of smart home products based on users' thinking,participatory,modular and interactive design methods,and combined with virtual reality technology in design process,to achieve innovation in design methods,to improve users'satisfaction,reduce development costs and improve product experience.
