Vehicle multimedia is a very important section of a vehicle,the performance of the multimedia impacts the user's experience,so the users have paid more and more attention on it.With the development of the technology,the vehicle multimedia integrates many functions and transfers more data,the power increases and generates more heat.Base on the vehicle multimedia development status,the paper uses thermal-solid coupling method combining with actual samples validation,then to design a new vehicle multimedia backend.The detail shows as below:(1)Mechanical structure concepts design for backend thermal systemOverall considering the cost,weight and product outline size,selecting the heat sink material as Aluminum,use design software UG to design the 3D data,initially draft three backend concepts with three different surface sizes of heat sink,named them as big heat sink backend concept,middle heat sink backend concept and small heat sink backend concept.(2)Sequential thermal-solid coupling on three different heat sink backend conceptsUse FLOTHERM to do thermal analysis on the big heat sink backend concept,the result can meet the thermal requirement,then use the ANSYS do the vibration simulation,the wrapround structure exists its material yield strength failure,needs to give up the concept;Use FLOTHERM to do thermal analysis on the middle heat sink backend concept,the result can meet the thermal requirement,then use the ANSYS do the vibration simulation,the result can meet the vibration requirement;Use FLOTHERM to do thermal analysis on the small heat sink backend concept,the simulation case temperature Tc of the critical components U32 and MOST connector on backend main board exceed their maximum case temperatures Tcmax,this concept has very high risk on the performance,so needs to give up it;To save the analysis resource,the vibration simulation on the small heat sink backend concept is not done.Based on the sequential thermal-solid coupling on three backend concepts,the middle heat sink backend concept worth to do the continuous study.(3)Mockup verification testDo mockup based on the middle heat sink backend concept,do the thermal test on the components which thermal simulation has been done,the actual case temperatures don't exceed the simulation case temperatures or maximum case temperatures;Do the vibration test on the middle heat sink backend concept,it passes each 8 hours on X,Y,Z orientation,no function or components failure.After the sequential thermal-structure coupling and actual tests,the middle heat sink backend concept can meet the design requirement.
