In recent years,China has built a city expressway system to solve urban congestion and improve traffic,and the entrance and exit is an important factor affecting the function of the expressway system.At present,the minimum distance between urban expressway entrance and exit specified in the “Code for Urban Expressway Design”(CJJ129-2009)and “Design Rules for Urban Road Intersections”(CJJ152-2010)is only used as the influencing factor.However,in the actual construction process,the setting of the entrance and exit is limited by many factors such as road network planning,land development,engineering investment,etc.The length between the entrance and exit cannot meet the requirements of the specification,and there are generally phenomena such as insufficient entrance and exit spacing and random placement of entrances and exits.It has greatly affected the service level of urban expressways,and there are also traffic safety hazards.Combining the actual situation of China's expressway construction,this paper adopts the combination of quantitative and qualitative methods,and simulates the traffic operation status of the expressway entrance and exit through traffic simulation software.The number of main road lanes,main road traffic,and entrance and exit interlacing ratio are three.The factors affecting the distance between the entrance and exit of the expressway are used as external conditions to refine the value of the minimum distance of the expressway entrance and exit under different construction conditions.In this paper,the combination of theoretical research and case actual investigation is used to qualitatively analyze the influencing factors of the entrance spacing,and at the same time establish a simulation model to verify the feasibility of the simulation model with actual case investigation data.Taking the Jianghai Road,Nantong City as an example,the paper conducts on-site data collection,simulation analysis,and compares the simulation results with the actual traffic volume data.The results show that the results of the simulation run are basically consistent with the actual situation.The proposed distances between entrances/exits and entrances/exits of urban expressway obtained in this paper can be used as reference for relevant design of urban expressway and provide reference for the future revisions of the related standards and specifications.
