Urban expressway is an important component of the urban road system. Howeverthe urban road network failed to realize traffic rapidly and convenient, for theunreasonable geometric establishment of urban expressway. As a significant part of urbanroad, exit and entrance usually become the bottleneck. Improving the capacity ofexpressway is the key to improve the urban operation efficiency, so it’s necessary to makeanalysis and summary for traffic characteristics of urban road, then provides reasonableimprovement measures for geometric establishment of city road and reference forexpressway construction.The study object of this thesis is the exit and entrance between the main road and theauxiliary road. The optimal layout of geometric establishment on different traffic condi-tion can be gotten through changing the factors which affect the traffic. The geometricestablishment of this thesis contains the distance between entrance and exit and the layoutof speed change lane.This thesis uses the German traffic simulation soft, VISSIM of PTV company asanalysis tool. At first the parameters of the soft should be amended to fit the real situationby comparing the simulation values with the standard parameter values. Through buildingsimulation model to analysis the reasonable distance between the exit and entrance andlayout of speed change lane.then makes comprehensive analysis of evaluation indexesbased on TOPSIS. The evaluation contains both qualitative analysis and quantitativeanalysis. The result can be the reference for the layout of exit and entrance of expressway.
