Since the British sociologist Ruth Glass first used the concept of gentrification in the 1960 s,its definition has been greatly expanded,it covers the process of direct or indirect displacement of existing residents through various ways of redevelopment and utilization of neglected urban space.Recent studies have shown that through the construction or improvement of urban green space, the rent and house price may rise, leading to the displacement of people of color or low-income groups, resulting in the problem of green gentrification. Some studies have shown that the relationship between the shape, area, location and function of new green space and gentrification. However, these studies are based on the impact of single or multiple new parks on the surrounding communities, and there is no research on the gentrification problem of multiple green spaces acting on a community in the whole city scale. This study focuses on the central urban area of Hangzhou,China, through the method of canonical correlation analysis, this paper explores the correlation between the total number, total area, the number of large and small green space, vegetation abundance and other green space indicators of each street and demographic characteristics indicators which can reflect the degree of gentrification.Secondly, through the comparative analysis of typical samples, this paper explores the social, economic and cultural impact of green gentrification. Finally, through in-depth interviews with key insiders,we can understand the real impact of gentrification on different groups. The results show that:(1)The size, number and vegetation abundance of urban green space are significantly related to gentrification, and the number of new large green space is the most related to green gentrification. The study did not find that there is a significant correlation between small green space and gentrification;(2)The typical sample streets experiencing green gentrification show higher land value, richer land use nature and more intensive and diversified high-end business forms.Different from the gentrification in western countries, this study does not find that the gentrified street samples have obvious environmental privileges and neighborhood conflicts, but there are psychological gap and loss of local culture after relocation;(3)In the process of gentrification, some of the original residents changed their status, from the victims who were at a disadvantage position to the advocates and helpers of gentrification, and obtained higher rental income by renovating or transforming their houses. The low-income groups and small enterprises were placed in a lower priority by the government and relevant planners in the process of green gentrification, due to the lack of appropriate defensive measures, they will face housing difficulties or bear greater migration pressure.
