With the rapid development of China's economy and society,the level of urbanization continues to advance,the level of motorization continues to improve,and urban road traffic has increased significantly.However,the speed of urban transport infrastructure construction can't keep pace with the growth of road traffic demand,coupled with poor traffic management and other factors,resulting in frequent traffic accidents,resulting in huge social and economic losses.Improving the level of road traffic safety and reducing road traffic accidents have become a top priority.Firstly,this paper introduces the types of urban road intersections,summarizes the geometric design characteristics of intersection conflict area,sight distance,number of intersection lanes,Lane width,traffic control mode and traffic signs,traffic control characteristics,lighting facilities and road conditions.Then,the impact on traffic safety at level intersections is studied from four aspects,namely,Human-Vehicle-Road environment.Secondly,the advantages and disadvantages of regression prediction model,discrete selection model,time series prediction model,grey prediction model,structural equation model and Bayesian network model are compared and analyzed.Thirdly,the Bayesian network model is used for empirical analysis to study the important factors affecting urban intersections.Finally,the traffic safety level of the level intersection is improved from the macro-level of traffic planning guidance,traffic safety management measures,traffic safety management system and traffic safety education and training,and from the micro-level of perfecting the safety facilities of the level intersection,optimizing the safety design of the level intersection and strengthening the safety management of the level intersection.
