Due to the continuous development of urbanization,the rapid increase in population and the development of industry,and the frequent occurrence of extreme rainfall events in China,which have caused urban flooding disasters,water shortages,and serious pollution of stormwater runoff.In recent years,the construction of sponge cities has been continuously implemented,providing a variety of solutions for solving urban water environment problems.As an important low-impact development facility,stormwater wetland is often used at the end of the sponge city system for storage water.It serves as a buffer area for urban rain pipes system and rivers,natural lakes,landscape lakes.It can purify and store urban stormwater.At present,the research on this type of wetland is mostly carried out on the basis of research on constructed wetlands for the treatment of domestic wastewater.There is a lack of research on the urban stormwater discharge process,wetland treatment of stormwater,and urban stormwater wetland design.Constructed wetlands include stormwater wetlands,but they are not equivalent to stormwater wetlands.The two have certain differences in the treatment methods of pollutant types,substrate selection,and scale,so they need to be treated differently.This paper summarizes and defines the concept of stormwater wetland and the calculation method of the scale of stormwater wetland.The system design of the stormwater wetland is constructed which is mainly made of a pretreatment system,stormwater treatment system,transition system,buffer system.It also can be refined into urban sponge facilities,sediment forebay,wet pond,wetland cells,dissipation pool,transition pool,artificial stream.It is worth noticed that different stormwater ponds have different water level depth requirements,and different plants cultivation requirements.This paper emphasizes that the construction of a complete wetland ecosystem,including plant ecosystems and biological ecosystems,is of great significance to the ecology of stormwater wetland parks.Finally through the design practice of the Huangshuihe Wetland Park in Xining City which incorporates these theories.I hope this research will provide a certain theoretical basis and case reference for the design of the same type of stormwater wetland park.
