In the history of modern industrial development,cooling towers are most and most needed in power plants.In recent years,with the development of space steel structure steel anti-corrosion technology and the rise in labor costs,co MPared with the concrete structure,domestic steel structure development is very strong,Steel structure cooling tower has a very broad application prospect because of its advantages of less capital investment,short construction period and high material recovery and utilization rate,At the same time,with the development of large steel grid structure technology,steel structure cooling tower will develop to the direction of larger structure size.At present,there are few researches on steel structure cooling tower in China,and no special steel structure cooling tower design specification can be followed.Therefore,it is necessary to conduct in-depth research and analysis on large steel structure cooling tower to provide references for practical projects.This paper takes a large steel structure cooling tower as the research object,establishes the finite element model according to the actual structure size,analyzes and studies the static performance of the structure,structural stability and seismic performance,the main research work is as follows:(1)The finite element software ANSYS was used to establish the finite element model,and 10 static load combinations were considered to calculate the stiffness and strength of the structure,find out the most unfavorable working conditions,study the mechanical properties of the steel tower under the action of wind load and temperature load,analyze the stress and deformation of the structure,and study the distribution law of internal force of the structural members.(2)Considering the constant load and live load combination to elastic stability analysis of structure,extraction of the first six order buckling mode,did not appear the overall buckling mode,structure stability meet the requirements,set up two models with and without reinforcement ring were analyzed,found that set is bigger than the structure reinforcement ring stability coefficient is not set up to strengthen ring,against a variety of solutions and calculate the reinforcement ring width,according to the results of calculation analysis structure optimization scheme.(3)The modal analysis of two models with and without reinforced ring is carried out,the analysis of the effect of reinforcement ring to the structure stiffness,the response spectrum method,seismic response analysis of setting stiffening ring model,input X to Y to response spectrum respectively,analysis of the structure stress and deformation under different response spectrum characteristics,find out the structure of the weak layer,according to the deformation and the structure of the interlayer displacement Angle index determine seismic performance,at the same time,using time history analysis method to complement calculation,to extract the structure at the bottom of the shear force and response spectrum method co MPare,found that meet the specification requirements.(4)According to ?The building seismic design code ?(GB50011-2001)to select two natural artificial wave for cooling tower steel structure seismic response elastic-plastic time history analysis,study of steel tower under different seismic fortification intensity of displacement and acceleration response,according to the results show that the steel tower can meet the specification requirements of the small earthquakes not bad,in shock repairable,sensation is not the standard seismic resistance.
