Welding technology has become the main processing technology for steel hull construction,replacing riveting technology.Welding deformation control has become a hot research direction.In the welding process,with the continuous input of heat,welding plates and profiles would deform to a certain extent,especially when welding thin plates with small thickness,serious deformation would occur.This would not only affect the shape quality and performance of the welded components,but also may cause structural failure of the components and even affect the overall performance of the ship.Therefore,the research on “the method of controlling welding deformation” is very meaningful to improve the hull construction accuracy,construction efficiency and construction quality.This paper takes a container ro-ro ship as the research object to study the structural deformation caused by thin plate welding and non-welding factors during the construction process.The numerical analysis of the welding deformation control technology is carried out through numerical simulation to achieve the purpose of optimizing the welding process,improving the welding quality and reducing the welding deformation.The main research contents and conclusions are as follows:(1)Based on the theory of temperature field and stress field,the simulation technology of welding process is studied,especially the coupling of temperature field and stress field and the simulation process of heat source movement.(2)Taking the splicing of a container rolling ship as the research object,the effect of welding sequence on the welding deformation and residual stress during the splicing process of multiple thin plates is explored.Four different welding schemes are designed for numerical simulation calculation,and the temperature field,stress field and combined displacement deformation of the calculated results are compared.The research shows that among the four different welding sequence schemes,the welding scheme of welding the middle welding seam first and then welding the welding seams at both ends simultaneously has the best welding effect.(3)Taking the splicing of the thin plate of a container rolling ship as the research object,explore the influence of the arrangement of the tooling fixture on the welding quality of the thin plate.Design four tooling layout schemes and conduct finite element analysis.The results show that the tighter the tooling fixture layout,the stronger the restraint ability,and the more beneficial it is to control the welding deformation.At the same time,it would also cause a large concentration of welding residual stress.(4)Taking the T-shaped connection between the upper deck cabin bulkhead and stiffener of a container ro-ro ship as the research object,the influence of welding insulation technology on the deformation and residual stress of the thin-plate T-shaped welded structure was explored.Six groups of welding schemes were designed,and the control variable method was used to simulate the setting of welding heat preservation process parameters,and the welding residual stress and displacement changes of each scheme were compared.The research results show that the welding temperature and time would have a greater impact on welding deformation and residual stress.Among the 6 sets of welding and heat preservation technology schemes,the welding scheme with the holding temperature of 500? and the holding time of 1200 s,the welding effect of the thin plate is the best.(5)Through the investigation of related companies,the deformation control plans during the welding of the thin plate are summarized and summarized from the preparation before welding,the welding process of the panel,the process after the welding,and the deformation control measures in the process of lifting and turning.During the research of this article,several field surveys of shipyards were conducted.The parameter settings used in the simulation process are all set according to the actual application of the shipyard.The results of the research on welding sequence,fixture layout and post-welding insulation technology could provide theoretical guidance for the improvement of shipyard technology and the improvement of the accuracy of sheet construction.
