Since passenger throughput is growing fast, some of our country's airport terminals lack enough infrastructures to offer passengers efficient service and reliable security assurance. In a terminal, before going to security check, passengers accompanied by relatives and friends often make the personnel composition more complex than other regions in the terminal.Improving the efficiency of using service facilities and security management can do benefit to the improvement of the whole terminal's operation efficiency and security level from the beginning of passengers entering the terminal, and describing the law of passengers' movement in the departure hall accurately is the basis of efficiently distributing service resources and implementing security management. The social force model is often used to simulate microcosmic pedestrian movement. With the support of the surveillance video in a large airport terminal in our country,a summary was given on the effects of passengers' traffic behaviors in the departure hall from both passengers' surroundings and their own characters, and Tracker was used to analyze passenger behavior's characteristics of the decision level and the tactics level reflected by the video.Combining social force model's improvement trend at home and abroad with the characteristics of departing passengers' traffic behaviors extracted from the surveillance video, departing passengers' social force model was set up,which considers both decision level behaviors and tactics level behaviors. In the social force model of departing passengers, the decision level model includes passengers' avoid and group behavior model, and the tactics level model includes passengers' route choice and service node(check-in counters and security lanes)choice model. The tactics level model determines the strength and direction of passenger's self-driven force,in order to describe passenger's route choice in a big range;the decision level model determines passenger's avoid force and group force,so that it can describe passenger's trajectory fine-tuning in a small range. Two levels of the social force model were combined to describe passenger's whole movement process from origin to destination.Passenger samples from the surveillance video were chosen to verify the model's validity. For single passenger and group passengers, the qualitative and quantitative analysis show that simulated trajectories' trend fits real trajectories' trend extracted from the video well.Errors exist in some related points of simulated and real trajectories, but the absolute values are usually smaller than a passenger's radius, proving that the avoid force, group force and route choice model can simulate passengers' trajectories well.Comparing passengers' security lane choices and their real choices in the video, the results show that the service node choice model can simulate passengers' uniform distribution before each security lane accurately, and the accuracy of forecasting each passenger's security lane choice is more than 85%.Based on proving the model's effectiveness,in the airport terminal, three aspects were used to show the application of departing passengers' social force model, including the rationality of the facilities' layout, passenger security grid management and evaluating check-in counters' distribution.Besides, the model can be used to calculate the length of time at each point since the passenger enters the terminal, and support the decision of preparing service resources based on the number of passengers will arrive at important service nodes at some point in the future.
