With the continuous improvement of Chinese social and economic strength and the continuous increase of the urban population,in order to allow cities to have a more complete and reasonable spatial pattern,the construction of rail transit network has become an important support for the further development of the city.Rail transit can greatly alleviate many transportation problems in the process of urban development with its own powerful transportation functions and fast,efficient and punctual characteristics.With the improvement of the rail transit line network,a large number of resident populations in cities will move along the rail transit,making the construction and development of public spaces in cities around the rail transit line a topic of concern.The research in this paper can provide more reasonable suggestions for the construction and development of public space along the line and surrounding cities after the completion of rail transit.First,this article summarizes the related research results such as the "TOD" theory and joint development theory,summarizes the domestic and foreign research on rail transit and urban public space,and then discusses the correlations between rail transit and urban public space.The theory is combed and systematically integrated.Secondly,the spatial analysis method of ArcGIS is used to study the role of urban rail transit in optimizing the composition and layout of land use along the route.It also summarizes the possibility of coupling development between urban rail transit and urban public space,and it is clear that the construction of rail transit has a positive role in promoting the construction and development of urban public space.Thirdly,the author wants to use people's rail transit to lead people's behavioral paths to change the space,thus defining three types of public spaces(underground space under the site,connecting space on the ground on the site,and public space around the site).According to the problems existing in the construction of rail transit and its surrounding public space in major cities in China,three types of targeted optimization strategies are proposed.Hefei's master plan is used to divide the three types of sites(urban central area,urban sub-central area,and urban general area)to summarize the general land use optimization strategy.Finally,taking Hefei City as an example,the development conditions and potential of public space along Line 5 are analyzed starting from the construction of Hefei Rail Transit and the current status of public space development along and around Hefei Line 5.Combined with the uncompleted Line 5,it puts forward suggestions for optimization of land use layout along the line,construction guidance for the underground space and ground connection space of its stations,and development suggestions for the surrounding public space.The optimization of urban public space in the thesis mainly focuses on two aspects,one is the optimization of land use structure,and the other is the improvement of the quality of the three divided public spaces.The author mainly wants to provide a reference for the optimization of public space in the area of rail transit stations that have not been completed or are planned to be constructed in the future.Figure [52],Table [18],Reference [51]...
