Today,with the rapid development of computer technology,new technologies from all walks of life are enormous.Intelligent measuring instruments integrating measurement technology and computer technology,will play an increasingly important role in many fields of national economy such as industry,agriculture and national defense in the future.Therefore,it is very necessary to explore and study new intelligent instruments,both for the development of measurement technology and theory,and for the support and promotion of national economy.This paper takes intelligent electric power measuring instruments as the research object,summarizing the update process and development status of intelligent electric power measuring instruments at home and abroad and analyzing the development trend of future electric power measuring instruments.It also puts forward an overall design of a multi-functional intelligent electric meter with fault detection system aiming at the improvement of electric power meter integration,the accuracy of measurement,data collection network,and intelligent detection.It applies the basic principles of measuring electric parameters such as voltage and current based on intelligent instruments,and establishes the mathematical models of power calculation and electric energy calculation.It employs a hardware platform with STM32 single chip microcomputer and ATT7022E power metering chip as the core,and many functional modules such as power supply,communication,storage,and display.The application software of the system is designed to meet the requirements of information processing,analysis,transmission,and display.The fault detection and intelligent early warning of measuring instruments are realized based on the weighted average adaptive algorithm.The designed system can ensure the stable operation of the system,and at the same time meets the planned measurement requirements and realizes the expected functions.The system has high measurement accuracy and reliability.The fault detection function of the system can reduce the power consumption waste of the instrument,effectively manage power to realize resource optimization,and ensure the safety of power and the accuracy of measurement.
