Automotive safety has always been a hot issue that people are paying attention to,and the development trend of intelligent and unmanned cars has put forward higher requirements for display methods in the car.The head-up display can project vehicle information in front of the driver,avoiding the driver to lower his head,improving driving safety,and expanding the display mode in the car,which is the mainstream direction for future development.At present,there are many researches on the projection unit and display interface of HUD,but the research on the implementation of HUD is less,and most of them are based on single-chip microcomputers and have a single function.Therefore,based on the embedded Android system,this paper proposes a more complete HUD design scheme.First,the development history and product form of HUD were analyzed,and LCD projection solutions were selected among DLP,MEMS,and LCD projection technologies;combined with car network system,OBD interface,and Internet of Vehicles technology,etc.,analyzed the user's needs and determined the structure of the HUD system including the four parts of the lower computer,HUD host,cloud server and mobile APP.Secondly,combined with the functional requirements,software and hardware development was carried out.With Exynos4412 processor as the core,the power circuit,sound card circuit,and PGU connection circuit are designed;based on the EST527 decoding chip,the OBD decoding circuit is designed for the analysis of CAN messages of the car;and The PCB board was produced by the interactive design method of Capture CIS+PCB Editor+Padstack Editor.Customized HUD operating system based on Android system,and combined with the Amap,Baidu AI open platform,and Turing robot development platform,used Android Studio IDE to develop functions such as voice dialogue,map navigation,intelligent chat,vehicle data extraction and display.A cloud server is deployed,and the vehicle can be connected to the cloud through HUD using the MQTT protocol to realize status monitoring,data storage and analysis,etc.,Developed a"YILUYOUNI" mobile APP,which can be directly connected to the HUD or communicate with the cloud platform to facilitate the driver to view vehicle dataIn addition,in order to solve the problems that the excessive amount of HUD display information can cause interference to the driver,focusing on the three-dimensional registration technology,and proposed an implementation scheme of AR function.Established AR-HUD model,determine each coordinate system according to the two imaging processes of virtual image and real image,and derived the conversion relationship between them,proposed AR-HUD three-dimensional registration scheme.Later,the rotation translation theory,DLT algorithm,and Zhang Zhengyou's calibration method were used to solve the model parameters,and using OpenGL ES to draw virtual images and verified the effectiveness of the 3D registration methodFinally,designed and made a HUD prototype,and tested the display effect and function in the use environment of HUD.The experimental results of the system are consistent with the expected targets,which provides experimental basis and reference value for HUD product design.
