With the development of social economy and the improvement of the quality of life, people's demand for outdoor leisure and recreation space in cities is getting higher and higher. However, our country has a large population, urban construction land is tight, and outdoor recreational space that people can share is seriously insufficient..Furthermore,when people improve the outdoor leisure and recreation space, they pay more attention to the external visual experience, and ignore the users' inherent needs of pleasantness and health comfort.Under this situation, based on meeting the needs of users,it is increasingly urgent to improve the quality of outdoor leisure and recreation spaces.Based on the above phenomenon, this paper takes the " Jimei school village " as a research object with special climatic conditions, diverse outdoor leisure and recreation spaces, diverse leisure subjects, and obvious regional characteristics. The main research methods are multidisciplinary method, field survey method, and qualitative and quantitative combination.Analyze the distribution and use characteristics of outdoor recreation and leisure space in Jimei school village, try to establish a linkage mechanism between space and climate and user behavior,Summarize the rules and requirements of the leisure and recreation behavior of multiple subjects, and propose the optimization strategy of outdoor recreation and leisure space in Jimei school village. The specific conclusions are as follows:(1)Combine the on-site investigation and map search to classify the outdoor leisure and recreational spaces of Jimei school village, determine the three key research objects of park space, waterfront space and street space, and with the help of nuclear density analysis,it is found that its status distribution is unevenly distributed.(2)Through the use of behavior annotation method, behavior observation method, questionnaire survey and interview method to analyze the leisure behavior laws and climate perception of the main subjects of the Jimei school village, and then to the three types of outdoor leisure and recreational space of park space, street space and waterfront space Conduct in-depth research, including space status, usage characteristics, and space use evaluation,to obtain the population use characteristics, space satisfaction, and status quo issues of different types of spaces.(3)Based on the analysis of the current situation, six typical spaces were selected to analyze the time distribution characteristics of users' behaviors, the space utilization characteristics of different behaviors and the spatial behavior characteristics and needs of different groups,And explored the correlation between the outdoor recreational space, climate and the user behavior of Jimei school village, and summarizes the leisure needs of the three groups of residents, tourists and students under specific climate conditions.(4)On the basis of the previous research, six optimization principles such as integrity, inclusiveness, diversity, accessibility, humanization and place are put forward, furthermore, from the three levels of layout, commonality and individuality,an optimization strategy for outdoor leisure and recreation space in Jimei school village is proposed.Through the research in this article, the purpose of proposing an optimization strategy for outdoor recreation and leisure space of Jimei school village under specific climate conditions and providing safe, comfortable and healthy outdoor recreation and leisure space for the diverse subjects of Jimei school village, and it also provides some reference and inspiration for the future research on related topics.
