Study On Traffic Congestion Mechanism And Improvement Strategy Of Urban Road Network

With the development of social economy and the rapid increase in the number of motor vehicles,urban traffic congestion has become more and more serious.Urban road traffic congestion can cause traffic accidents,traffic delays,traffic pollution and other problems,which have a great impact on people's travel.In order to alleviate the urban traffic congestion and improve the convenience,safety,comfort and efficiency of people's travel,this paper conducts a research on the mechanism of urban road traffic congestion,and studies the congestion improvement strategy based on the actual situation of Jiangmen's road network.The main content of this article mainly includes the following aspects:(1)This article starts with the congestion of a single intersection,based on the sensory perception of the congestion of drivers,passengers,passers-by,etc.,combined with the professional opinions of traffic managers,transportation scholars,etc.,analyzes and summarizes the traffic congestion at the intersection.Concept,and selected five indicators such as average speed,saturation,parking rate,occupancy rate,delay time,and queue length to quantify traffic congestion.Combined with the congestion interview questionnaire and expert scoring,this article will quantify the relationship between each congestion index and the severity of congestion,and finally combine the analytic hierarchy process to quantify the weight between each index,and establish a comprehensive evaluation index of congestion.(2)From the perspective of road network congestion composed of multiple intersections,this paper studies road network traffic state changes and traffic congestion formation results through traffic simulation,and proposes a road network traffic congestion state judgment method based on a macro basic map.(3)In view of the analysis of the impact mechanism of traffic congestion,traffic simulation is used to analyze the impact of typical influencing factors on the operation of intersections and road network traffic flow and traffic congestion.(4)Study the impact of improvement measures on intersections and road network traffic congestion,and summarize traffic congestion improvement strategies to provide support for urban road network planning and management.
