The ruins of Bataizi Lady Chapel Hall(built in 1876 in the Guangxu Period of Qing Dynasty)Ruins Heritage is the largest Catholic church heritage in Shanxi Province.It is situated in the North of Batai Village,Santun County,Zuoyun Town,Shanxi Province.It borders the southern part of Inner Mongolia in the north and is only less than 100 meters away from ruins of the Great Wall of Ming Dynasty.It is rare for such a large-scale western religious architectural heritage to appear on the territory of China.This thesis aims at digging the value of religious ruins architecture,takes Bataizi Lady Chapel Hall Ruins as the research object,sorts out the basic materials on it,draws the detailed architectural drawings,collects a lot of photo materials,and analyzes it from the three aspects of architectural historical value,architectural cultural value,and architectural aesthetic value.Finally,the thesis arrives at the conclusion that the value of ruins architecture can leveraged again to provide the basis for the development of modern architecture.
