Earthen site is can’t move cultural relic, which has the extremely importanthistorical, cultural and scientific value. Earthen site protection and display has been thefocus of work for the department of cultural relic protection, because it has distributionof a wide range and the serious damage. Soil ruins protection hall of museum is theimportant form for it protection and display, that its indoor soil ruins protection. Sincethe1980s, our country has done a lot of try in the work of indoor earthen site protectionand the soil ruins protection hall has experienced many times improvement andoptimization, the purpose is to create a more suitable environment of protection forearthen site. The main research target of this thesis is to gets the suitable temperatureand humidity parameters of the soil ruins protection hall. In consideration of earthen siteas the object of research, author attempt to control the soil surface moisture migration,so as to prevent environment factors on earthen site damaging effects.This thesis summarize and analyze the research status of soil ruins protection andthe mechanism of action of environment factors, in this foundation, put forward thecondition of appropriate temperature and humidity parameters is important for soil ruinsprotection. So the author with the damage forms of earthen site and the parameters oftemperature and humidity of protection hall as the important research factors, surveymany museum of site. Summarize and conclude the damage form and environmentparameters of protection hall. And discover protection of indoor earthen site has opentype soil ruins protection hall and closed type soil ruins protection hall.Through the above analysis of earthen site damage reason and summary of soilruins protection practice, point out the reason of earthen site damage is the soil surfacemoisture migration which by temperature difference and humidity difference as driving potential, discover it’s the key to reduce and control the soil surface moisture migration.It’s mean to create stable condition of temperature and humidity for site. For this reason,the author introduced the soil surface evaporation theory and the principle of thermaland humidity coupled transfer. Research the soil surface evaporation process of indoorsoil ruins. And confirmed the importance of reduce soil surface moisture migration.With it as the theoretical basis, combined with the soil ruins museum protection practice,used the moisture of the hall as the main reference index, respectively give therecommended value of appropriate temperature and humidity of open and closed typesoil ruins protection hall.
