China is an ancient country with 5000-thousand—year historical sites spreaded around the land. People study the lives and social achievements, and search the originality of the culture based onthese historical sites. Whereas, for those precious historical sites, we must take certain measures to preserve them, which should meet the needs of exhibition and at the same time minimize the ruin of the surroundings and the historical sites. From the perspectives of the preservation and architecutre design of the historical remains, this thesis intends to make some useful conclusions based on the study of many protective buildings and historical sites at home and abroad.
