Aircraft tire is the only contact part between aircraft and airport pavement.The development of aircraft tire started late in China.At present,almost all large aircraft tires are provided by foreign tire giants,such as Michelin.With the development of the national strategy of large aircraft,the localization of tires is urgently needed.Under the high-speed landing,high-speed friction and wear between aircraft tire tread and pavement has an important impact on the wear resistance and handling of the aircraft tire,which directly affecting the safety of the aircraft.So it is particularly important to systematically study the friction and wear behavior of the aircraft tire tread under the harsh environment.In this paper,the aircraft tire tread is taken as the research object,then the high-speed friction and wear test platform is developed.The friction and wear characteristics of the tread material under harsh environment are studied by combining the test and simulation methods,and the influence of the tread structure parameters on the wear performance is revealed.It provides a basis for the development of high performance aircraft tires,which has important theoretical significance and application value.Firstly,a high-speed friction test platform for aircraft tire tread rubber materials was established,then high-speed friction behavior of rubber materials was studied.Based on the friction test datas under different speeds and loads,a friction model of rubber materials was developed.Based on the test results of rubber mechanical properties and the friction model,the high-speed friction simulation model of rubber material was developed by finite element method.The influence of speeds and loads on contact pressure and shear stress was studied.The relationship between load and contact pressure was studied by using inkpad method and digital image method,then the power function relationship between load and contact pressure was established.Besides,the influence of pavements and groove width on the friction behavior of tread rubber was systematically studied by the combining of experiment and simulation,and its influence on friction forces of tread rubber materials were revealed.Secondly,high-speed wear tests of tread rubber have been carried out,the influence of speed and load on the wear properties are discussed.Surface morphologies of tread rubber are further studied by using DSX-510 optical digital microscope,and microscopic mechanism are researched by Nicolet380,which revealed the high-speed wear mechanism of the tread rubber material.Here,a high-speed wear finite element model is developed based on the high-speed friction model,then the variation law of friction work density with load speed is obtained.Based on the results of wear and simulation,a high-speed wear model of rubber materials is established.Besides,the effect of the micro-texture of the pavement on the cutting wear resistance of the tread rubber material was studied by high-speed micro-milling tests.The effect of macroscopic sharp large particles on the wear performance of tread rubber also have been studied by cutting method,and the wear mechanism of the macro-micro texture on the tread rubber material was revealed.Finally,a certain type of aircraft tire tread was taken as the research object,the influence law of tread structure parameters on its wear characteristics has been revealed.Based on the characterization and simplification of the tread groove structure,the vulcanizing mold with different draft angles and circle radius have been made,then the wear tests under different tread structural parameters were carried out.Tire wear simulation was established by using ABAQUS software.Based on the wear mechanism,the wear characteristics of tread rubber materials under different working conditions were analyzed by the fatigue damage parameters.The influence of draft angles and circle radius on rubber wear performance was studied.Based on the test and simulation study of tire tread block under different sliding directions,the influence law of the slip angle was revealed.Besides,the wear mechanism of tread has been revealed by analysis of the wear surface morphology under the conditions of different tread structure parameters and lateral bias,which provides a basis for the development of large aircraft tire.
