Commercial public space is an important urban space for urban residents to carry out shopping consumption and outdoor entertainment.With the diversification of service functions of commercial buildings,leisure and entertainment,social interaction,sports activities in the outdoor commercial public space of the commercial complex are increasingly rich.Commercial public space has important urban functions,such as commercial exhibition,traffic organization,leisure and entertainment,urban landscape and cultural communication.As an attraction to promote outdoor activities and consumption of residents,the optimization of commercial public space is of great significance to both commercial and urban development.For the cold cities,winter is cold and long,the temperature rises and falls rapidly in the transitional season,the outdoor activity time of residents is greatly shortened.Commercial public space is also greatly affected in the way and efficiency of space utilization.Severe cold weather directly affects people’s consumption habits and reduces their consumption ability.Effective adjustment of the microclimate environment of the commercial public space can improve human comfort,increase the thermal comfort range,and extend the outdoor time.Therefore,in-depth study on the climate comfort of commercial public space is of great significance to promote the activities of residents and optimize the quality of space environment.Based on the investigation of the characteristics of behavior activities,subjective thermal comfort evaluation and space use demand of the residents in Harbin commercial public space in the autumn transition season and winter cold season,this paper analyzes the characteristics of behavior activities and climate comfort of commercial public space.Based on the research on the behavior activities of Harbin commercial public space,the main activities in the space are classified and the spatial and temporal distribution of different types of activities is analyzed.Based on the analysis of the characteristics of commercial public space,the microclimate data are compared to obtain the microclimate environment characteristics of commercial public space in different seasons.Based on the analysis of users’ thermal comfort,the relationship between commercial public space thermal comfort and space use is studied by using correlation regression analysis,and the influence of microclimate factors,personal factors and activity factors on the subjective evaluation of space users’ thermal feeling is analyzed.The calculation model of activity thermal comfort index is established,and four microclimate parameters,air temperature,relative humidity,wind speed and solar radiation,are quantified to objectively analyze the correlation between microclimate environment and human behavior.Finally,combined with the space use needs of interviewees,this paper analyzes the impact of microclimate thermal comfort on human activities.This paper puts forward the planning and design principles of commercial public space aiming at promoting outdoor activities of residents in cold cities and improving outdoor microclimate thermal comfort,and puts forward optimization schemes for three research objects to provide reference for improving the environmental quality of commercial public space in cold cities.
