| As a latecomer economy,promoting enterprises in important industrial fields to catch up with the world’s advanced technology is the only way for our economy to achieve high quality development.Many studies have noted that advanced manufacturing industry may be one of the best choice for Chinese enterprises to catch up with technology in the situation of technological transcendence,and that the improvement of technological ability of enterprises can provide strong internal power and positive external conditions,and then promote the realization of technology catch-up.However,there is no clear conclusion on whether there is a potential structured evolution in the growth of technological capability of advanced manufacturing enterprises,and what factors will restrict or promote this evolution,which need to be further explored.Based on this,this thesis intends to construct the hierarchical structure of the technological capability leap of China’s advanced manufacturing enterprises,and explore the potential path of the transformation or leap of the technological capability of enterprises between different levels and the corresponding preconditions,in order to construct the basic mode of the capability evolution path of China’s advanced manufacturing enterprises’ technological catch-up.In the content arrangement,firstly,this thesis selects Sany Heavy Industry Co.,Ltd.as the sample enterprise of exploratory single case analysis,traces the whole process of technology catching up and summarizes the four stages of its technology capability development,as well as the concrete performance of technological capability in production,investment and innovation;secondly,it is assumed that the technological capability of China’s advanced manufacturing enterprises may go through a similar stage jump process,and on this basis,the hidden Markov model of China’s advanced manufacturing enterprises’ technological capability jump is constructed,and the possibility of the interaction between the endogenous factors and external conditions of enterprises to promote their technological catch-up is discussed;lastly,we infer the situation condition and path choice to promote the technological capability of advanced manufacturing enterprises to achieve technological catch-up,and provide theoretical support and practical suggestions for enterprises and governments to formulate relevant development strategies and guide policies.The results show that the technological capability of advanced manufacturing enterprises in China can be divided into four stages: experience learning,exploratory research,independent R&D and technology leading,which can be leapt step by step or leapfrogged in stages.Enterprises in different stages of technological capability have different catching-up path,choosing appropriate catch-up mode is helpful to break through the bottleneck of technological catch-up.Therefore,enterprises in the lower stages should accumulate technical resources through basic production imitation,absorbing advanced technology and high-quality talents through investment,and at the same time lay out the strategy of technological innovation in advance in order to realize the gradual jump of technological ability;enterprises in the advanced stage should persist in sustained R & D investment,and carry out continuous core technological innovation and key technology exploration. |
